In Ceramics I made a frankenpot, a couple vases, a mug, two bowls, and a wheel altered to go along with my theme. My theme is form. This is the 3D shape of a piece of art. I worked with glazes to add form to some of my projects as well as playing with the clay while it was on the wheel.
I made my projects on the wheel while adding pieces with the method of slip and score. When attaching pieces I was able to add a 3D affect. This allowed character to pop from my projects. I made all my projects with mixer clay. When making them to add form I would mix up the which hand was on top to add waves and make some parts of my projects wider than others.
I made my projects this way to add character. Anybody can make a simple bowl or cup but by adding something to it, it makes it interesting. That's why I like to add a little extra to my projects. So that I can remember them and be proud of them.
